Help desk support specialist are the go-to people for providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware and software.  LCECP is seeking an individual who is willing to fill the role of providing support for agency staff in all aspects of technology. 

Position Summary:
This position ensures the design, development and maintenance of agency-wide information technology network systems.  The IT Technician's role is to ensure the streamlined operation of information technology in alignment with the business objectives of the organization.  The IT Technician will plan, coordinate IT-related activities of the organization, as well as provide support for daily operational activities of information technology.  The IT Technician will work closely with decision makers in other department to identify, recommend, develop, implement and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization.

Our IT Help Desk Technician will be responsible for:
  • Utilize and accurately maintain LCECP IT ticket system
  • Maintain inventories of devices
  • Manage and maintain updates and installing software or applications based on supervisor requests and/or approval
  • Offer staff trainings on basic computer function, including but not limited to email access, cybersecurity best practices, document management and other general tasks
  • Monitor and report any cybersecurity concerns detected during the normal course of day-to-day operations
Education and Experience:
  • Associate Degree in Computer Networking, Information Technology or related fields
  • Most hold a valid driver's license
Wage:  $17.50 per hour 
Hours:  8 am to 4:30 pm/Monday through Friday [40 hrs. a week / 52 weeks a year]
This position is eligible for full dental and health benefits after 90 days.
