GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY:
 
The duties of the Health, Dental and Nutrition Coordinator include monitoring all aspects of the nutrition services provided by the registered dietician.  This position also must have knowledge and expertise to advise staff and families of health and dental information and education.  Monitor health/dental records for children of Lewis-Clark Early Childhood Program.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Some of this position's responsibilities include
:
·         Monitoring program aspects of the CACFP (Child/Adult Care Food Program).
·         Providing training on nutrition/health/dental for staff and families as needed.
·         Complete paperwork reports and staff evaluations as assigned.
·         Coordinating with other content area specialists to ensure adequate support for staff.
·         Monitor budgets within the job scope.
·         Attending all pertinent content area training.
·         Provide oversight and guidance for health, dental and nutrition referrals.
·         Participate in Health and Wellness Advisory Committee.
·         Provide an overall monitoring of health records and ensure they are current and completed on given time.
·         Work effectively as a team member.  Be able to give and receive information in a positive manner.
·         Represent LCECP in a positive manner.
·         Read, understand and implement professional materials.
·         Must be conscientious in looking for in-kind opportunities and recording in-kind services appropriately to the agency.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

·         Bachelor's degree in nutrition, Food Management, Public Health or a related field.  Should have a basic knowledge of children’s nutrition and health needs, community health and nutrition resources, ability to work with community agencies.
·         Two years supervisory experience preferred.

JOB CONDITIONS:
                                                                 
·         Must pass a Health Screen and a criminal background check that meets required state, federal and LCECP standards.
·         Must possess a valid driver’s license; have an acceptable driving record; have a safe, dependable vehicle available for possible business use; and provide proof of current vehicle insurance adequate to meet state insurance requirements.
·         May be required to possess a personal cell phone for possible use for agency business.
Compensation: $23.75 - $28.75 per hour
